Have an Awesome Day

It's been a busy month and a really fun catching up with life and getting my craft on.  Today i have a card to share that i did for a co worker at the castle. It's a little fun and whimsical but those are the best kinds of projects to create because they make you laugh and have fun!

I created my card with another one of Becca's amazing border dies called "Graceful Sweet Words".  It's a gorgeous die set and i really loved this loopy kind of border that came in the set so i cut/embossed two pieces in black to go on either side of the Queen of Hearts tag and added sweet rhinestones to it to bling it out a little.  The rest of the colors i coordinated with the queen image so it all fell into place and it was really fun to do.

The stamp is from a brand new release of dies from Quietfire Designs and they are clear stamps and work amazing.  You are going to really love these little gems.

Thank you so much for stopping in this week and i hope to have lots of new things to share soon.

Have a really wonderful day... Teresa

So very Thankful for you

Hi everyone and thanks so much for dropping by today.  I have a another sweet card to share that i made for a friend in fall colors from the New Echo park Fall Reflections line.  It was perfect to add the gorgeous borders from Becca Feekens Graceful Fans die set and also the Graceful Brackets die.

I wanted to give my friend something pretty that she could put on her desk so i created a simple easel card and did simple layering on it.  For the borders i used one in dark brown to give it a nice lacey look across the bottom and then the smaller edge border i put all around the sentiment.  It really gave it the pop i was looking for and it was nice to be able to cut the lacy pieces in the paper i needed to.

Here you can see how pretty the designs in the border is.  I love the fans and the other border in the set is even cuter so you have double the creativity if you use both of them.

Be sure and check out all the other girls this week on their blogs for more ideas using the border dies this month.  We have lots of ideas to spark your creativity!!

Hugs and Smiles... Teresa

Border die ideas to share

Hi and welcome to my blog today.  All this month the APG team will be sharing fun ideas to use Becca Feeken's border dies from Spellbinders.  Today i have a quick and easy card to share using Graceful brackets and the Beautiful Dreamer die set.

Border dies are really fun and there are so many things you can do with them so first i wanted to pass on the idea that you can just simply die cut and emboss them into a piece of paper to make cut outs so to speak.  To make this one emboss cut out your piece of paper that you need and die cut and emboss only 1/2 of it at a time when you run it through your machine.  That way each side will emboss.  Then you can layer it over another piece of paper to make it pop and add other dies if you want over the borders cutouts.  Mine is very vintage today with the papers i used from Prima.

And then i layered on the Beautiful Dreamer die with 3D Foam dots and added a few pearls and ribbons.  The stamped piece is done on the same paper and just trimmed on the edge and chalked.  This way I could keep all those curly script lines from the stamp on it.  Don't ever be afraid to try something new, you never know what amazing projects you will come up with!!

Thanks so much for stopping over this week.
